Vitality Therapy, empowering you to create the life you desire.

Do you feel tired all the time?  Do you hit a brick wall where you simply run out of energy?
Do you just want to slump in front of the telly when you get home from work?

Tiredness seems to be the plague of our era.  GPs have to deal with an increasing number of patients with a complaint for which there is no known cure: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).  Feeling tired all the time without being able to tell people why is extremely frustrating and depressing.   Especially for those people that get a good night’s sleep, eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and still wake up in the morning feeling shattered.

Tip

One thing people in your situation have found useful is to draw up a list of re-energising activities.  This means, on your worst days, when you simply can’t find the energy to do anything, you can get out your list and choose an activity that will give you the mental and physical lift you need.

Chronic tiredness can have many causes but it is frequently related to periods of stress and over-work that in turn can lead to depression and/or loss of sleep.  Tiredness can become so severe that it interferes with your daily life.  The common symptoms are:

  • *     Feeling ill after doing something

    *     Poor concentration

    *     Soar Throat

  • *     Muscle and joint pain

  • *     Headaches

  • *     Digestive problems

While resting seems the obvious solution, and may help some people in the short term, prolonged inactivity, even in fit people, can itself cause fatigue and make it harder to do anything.  Spending a lot of time in bed or just sitting can make you feel weak, stiffen up and it may aggravate back pain.

Tiredness is a symptom not a disease, it is your body's way of warning you that its physical or mental balance has been upset or its resistance has been weakened by illness.  If you feel tired but:

* you are exercising regularly (twice a week)
* you are sleeping normally at night
* you are eating normally
* you have normal periods (for women)
* you bowel movements and passing water are normal
* you are not drinking a lot of alchol * you are not loosing weight

then the changes are that you are not physically ill but the that cause is of a mental or emotional nature.

Kinetic Energen therapy can help people deal with the emotional and physical causes and impact of chronic tiredness.  In addition, keeping stress within reasonable limits will take some of the pressure off your physical body.   A number of my clients also use regular reflexology sessions to manage their stress.
